Pet Strollers
Pet strollers are a new product and most people do not know what features to look for.
We will show you all features you should consider when shopping for one.
One of the most popular pet stroller is Pet Gear At3. Let’s look at it as an example for the pet strollers’ features.
All features vary from model to model and we will show you how.
Wheels
Depending on the terrain you will be strolling on you should consider small or large wheels. If you strolling on a smooth even sidewalk surface then the small wheels are fine. Large (11- or 12-inch) wheels models are sufficient if you plan on taking long strolls on gravel or dirt trails.
4-wheeler
For short distances and occasionally strolling at a leisure pace using a stroller with small wheels and double wheels on the front like the classic baby stroller will suit you just fine.
3-wheeler (inflatable rubber tires)
For jogging or doing a power walk as part of the stroll you will need a better stability. The 3-wheel stroller with the fixed front wheel is the best for high speeds.
Gear basket
It’s a perfect addition to a pet stroller. I always bring a bottled water, a camera and sometimes a video cam and before you know it the basket is full.
Brakes
The parking brake is super handy, especially if you live in a hilly area. Most models have parking brakes, and some also have hand brakes.
Parent tray
It’s important for long strolls, fits next to the handle and provides a cupholder in addition to a catch-all space for your cellphone, keys, etc.
Wind and rain covers
If you live in an area where the weather can change quickly or sudden showers are common, you could consider this option.
Weight
You should consider a compact model if you plan to travel with yout stroller and need to pack up a lot. The stroller’s weight usually corresponds to how sturdy it is. But heavier is not always better.
